Phase 1- Situational Assessment

The LEAD Team will spend time getting to know your company and your team of managers. We will gain context for who does what and the flow of your business. We will also gain some understanding of high-level organizational roadblocks for your organization so we can seek to address those through the management training process.

Phase 2 – Team Relationships and Individual Assessments

At LEAD, we believe the “who” is far more important than the “what.” We will spend the first few sessions with the management team helping them understand who they are, how they interact with each other, and their leadership. We want them to understand who they are as a person, this shapes the way they relate to their employees. This is crucial because 47% of an employee’s engagement at work is directly correlated to their relationship with their direct supervisor. During this phase, your management team will begin to build more effective relationships with each other, become more emotionally intelligent, and develop a common language for how the people in the organization work.

Phase 3 – Ideas and Application

During this phase, the focus of the management training will be on teaching your management new tools and ideas about key management principles. They will learn the fundamentals of employee engagement, how to handle conflict and turn it from a negative experience to a positive, and how to improve their personal leadership skills and prioritization skills. In this phase, we often say, “What’s good for business is good for life." Your managers will not only be able to apply these new ideas and tools with their direct reports, but also with their spouses and children.

Phase 4 – Review, Reinforcement, and Recalibration

During the last two sessions of the management training program, your managers will review what they have learned and will report to senior leadership what they have learned and how they have applied it within the company. This phase is filled with lots of reminders of lessons they have learned, reinforcement to continually apply those lessons, and a period of introspection to see how they have changed as managers over the year.
